This project involved the structural design for a three-storey residential development comprising 12 flats in Reading. The ground floor was constructed using reinforced concrete, while the first floor utilised concrete planks to provide a robust and efficient structural solution.

Due to the presence of clay soil and nearby trees, a raft foundation was chosen as the most cost-effective and practical option, addressing potential ground movement while ensuring stability.

A unique challenge of the project was the roof design, which incorporated cranked steels to achieve the architectural vision. Our team provided detailed designs, close collaboration with the contractor, and on-site support. This development showcases our ability to deliver tailored, cost-effective solutions for complex residential projects.
