A unique development scheme for one of the biggest house builders in the UK. This expansive project comprised 200 units spread across low-rise buildings and three flat blocks. Adding to the complexity, the scheme included a vehicle bridge, a timber pedestrian platform bridge, and various gabion walls.
Vector Structures were entrusted with providing both structural permanent and temporary works, as well as civil design expertise, spanning RIBA stages 3, 4, and 5. Our experience in the residential sector proved invaluable in value engineering the scheme to stay within budget, navigating challenges posed by demanding ground conditions and nonstandard house types.
The tight deadline, from initial instruction to site commencement, necessitated close and efficient collaboration between the Vector Structures team, the architect, and the management team at Vistry to ensure the timely delivery of all project components.
